Relevant Experience:

  • Undertook a management and governance systems and processes analysis of Pacific Conference of Churches (PCC) in Suva, Fiji.
  • Evaluated about 20 NGOs with an eco-forestry expert, as part of the evaluation of Interchurch Organisation for Development Co-operation's Pacific Programme 2002 to 2005.  This comprised of 4 Pacific regional programmes and many individual projects (contracts) with about 25 partner organisations from different countries in the Pacific region.
  • Contracted as Organisational Development Specialist for Partners With Melanesians Inc (NGO) to assist in re-organising it to become more efficient and coherent.  Conceptualised a planning strategy called “Moving Forward: New Directions for Partners with Melanesians Inc”.
  • Assisted in the preparation of a Strategic Plan and Change Management for Center for Environmental Law and Community Rights Inc (NGO) to restructure it; by reviewing its human resources, organisational structure and financial and management procedures.
  • Contracted as a Strategic Planning & Sustainable Development Consultant to co-facilitate Village Development Trust's (VDT) Strategic Planning and Programme Formulation Workshop.
  • Contracted as an Operations and Financial Management Specialist to undertake an independent, external evaluation of the Eco-Forestry Forum.
  • Worked as Business Banking Analyst / Commercial Business Officer fot the ANZ Bank. Assisted Manager Business Banking in the maintenance and growth of “high networth clients” like Shell, ABB Engineering, Rimbunan Hijau, etc by (a) liaising with clients with respect to on-going administration of accounts and servicing and coordinating all customer services, (b) undertaking financial, business and credit risk analysis through monitoring of accounts and client business performance and (c) adhering to Group Credit Policies and Standards in reporting and documentation and ensuring data integrity in all core systems and documentations.

Relevant experience:

  • Contracted as a Micro-finance Specialist by the Institute of National Affairs on behalf of the Informal Sector Committee of the Consultative Implementation and Monitoring Council to undertake an analysis and present a paper on “Microfinance in PNG”
  • Worked as an SME and Microfinance Specialist for KfW funded SME Credit Line for Crnogorska Komercijalna Banka (Montenegrin Commercial Bank), based in Podgorica, Montenegro. The KfW loan was supplemented with technical assistance grant to train staff and implement the programme which in effect was to downscale banking operations to accommodate the financing of the SMME sector.
  • Worked as Business Banking Analyst / Commercial Business Officer for the ANZ Bank.

  • Facilitated the annual staff retreat for WWF Kikori River Programme.
  • Facilitated the Annual Planning Workshop for WWF SP.
  • Facilitated a Strategic Planning Workshop for the Community Training Programme and the NGO Small Scale Fund and devised a 2 ½ year country programme for donor funding for the German Development Services (DED).
  • Facilitated the “Women’s Forum on Weapons Disposal” and prepare a report on the Forum for the Weapons Disposal program in Bougainville, as part of the Bougainville Peace Agreement following the Lincoln Agreement and the 1997 Burnham I and II peace accords.

Worked as UNDP Programme Manager in PNG. Experienced in backstopping, monitoring and evaluating projects totalling US$ 3.5 million within the areas of employment creation, social development, human settlements, informal and SMME sector, population, poverty, health and education with the broader Country Co-operation Framework focus area.

Relevant Experience:

  • Designed & drafted Phase II of Start Your Business/ Improve Your Business project document for endorsement by all stake-holders, including AusAID.
  • Conceptualised three separate documents for the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Small Grants Programme (SGP), United Nations Operations & Project Services and UNDP – GEF: (i) Resource Mobilization Strategy, (ii) Country Strategy and (iii) Monitoring & Evaluation Strategy.
  • Prepared VDT’s funding proposal for the entire organisation in accordance with EU’s funding format and criteria and involved assisting the organisation to look at organisational and programme issues that are critical to the funding proposal and the subsequent successful implementation.
